What do you practice?
People practice a multitude of things. I am a tarot reader and I practice tarot every day. Although, students don't always realize it, Math is not a subject you just know or don't know, you practice. If you speak with anyone with an interest in yoga, you will have heard yoga referred to as a practice. We practice activities and talents but I believe it is mindful to practice other things as well.
In one of my readings for myself, I pulled an oracle card with the words "Practice Patience" on it. I asked as I normally do, "Is this the message you have for me?" The answer was yes. "Do I need to be patient?" Yes. "Am I not patient?" Then through intuition and knowing, I realize the key word on the card is "Practice". I am a generally patient person but it isn't a matter of being or not being patient. It is a state of being that must be practiced.
A patient person can get impatient at times. A yogi can fall out of practice due to life. What do you practice?
With the frenzy that can sometimes come at the end of the year, I ask that you practice patience when things don't go as planned or if you encounter difficult situations. Practice gratitude for the abundance you have in your life. Practice creating and maintaining boundaries. Practice allowing yourself to be vulnerable with people you trust. Practice listening to your body and slowing down when you are doing too much for everyone but yourself. Practice self-care and self-love always.
